A sixth solo release from Lanarkshire based singer/songwriter John Hinshelwood.

John Hinshelwood composed the music to the words by 19th century American poet, poet Emily Dickinson.

Musical styles range from jazz and soul to bluegrass and folk, via Celtic and Americana and feature many musicians, John's regular collaborators and some exciting young musicians from the Scottish folk and jazz scenes.

The title of the CD 'Called Back', is the inscription on Dickinson's gravestone, and the words of her final letter to her cousins shortly before her death in 1886.
