Description

(September 2010 re-release of 1978 recording) 9 tracks: Roobee * Scottish Invasion Of Wembley * Talkin' Rhymin' Slang Blues * Battle Of Lochboisdale * A Folkie's Biography * Portree Kid * Tae A Mealie Puddin' Supper * Looseal * Viva Dunbar.

This original 1978 release from Bill Hill, recorded live at the Edinburgh Police Club, is now available on CD - a genuine classic makes a welcome return.

Bill wrote several of the comic songs featured here and made famous by the Corries, such as The Portree Kid and Looseal. He is the master of parody songwriting in the Scottish folk tradition, and this album neatly brings together his best work.

With Davy Sinton (guitar, mandolin), John MacLean (bass guitar) and Billy Cranston (fiddle).
