Gaelic singer and clarsach player. Following the success of Maggie's last solo album Eilean Mara, released by Dunkeld Records in November 1998, Maggie has continued to perform widely at home and abroad. Maggie learned all the songs on this recording from her mother Flora MacNeil MBE.

The album contains many varied songs and instrumentals from the Scottish Gaelic tradition and features some of the finest Scottish musicians around, including Charlie McKerron of Capercaillie, Sean O'Rourke of the JSD Band and the Celts, and Brian McAlpine of Iron Horse. The album also contains some very special backing vocals provided by children from Bunsgoil Ghaidhlig Glaschu (The Glasgow Gaelic Primary School).

"a display of singing confidence, background authority and unshowy musicality that bodes well indeed." (Rob Adams, Glasgow Herald)
