A very gentle album of Celtic religious song, with viola, mandocello, guitar and pipes supporting and blending with Kirsten's pure-toned voice.
Celtic Christian music of the First, Second and Third Millennia. Fourteen Christian-Celtic songs that span three millennia. The oldest, The Hymn of St Columba, was written in the 6th Century and has been sung at the burial of every Scottish king since then. The Lord's Prayer is sung to the original tune for which Robert Burns wrote the words of Auld Lang Syne in the 18th Century. Light of Light is Kirsten's own song, written for this album.
