Battlefield Band fiddle player John McCusker had to gather material together (mostly self-penned) and also find time to rehearse and record with his guest artists in between touring and playing with Battlefield Band.
As those of you who have seen John perform with the band will know, he plays many instruments. On this album he plays, piano, whistle, accordion and cittern, but fiddle is his main love and it is the fiddle that the features on this, his first solo album.
"The delicacy and finesse with which McCusker handles these lovely tunes are sure signs of a young master ..." (ALASTAIR CLARK)
"A musician of considerable maturity, his playing has a delightful lilt on waltzes and slow airs, and a steely percussiveness on reels." (ROB ADAMS, GLASGOW HERALD)
