Sir Jimmy Shand has become known throughout the world as the greatest exponent of Scottish Dance Music that there has ever been. Sadly he is no longer with us but on this CD the listener can become enchanted with his wonderful style, both for listening to and for dancing.
The tracks are drawn from various sources - live performances at his beloved Letham Village Hall with his son, Jimmy Shand Jnr and his Band * studio recordings with the original Jimmy Shand Band and also some tracks of Jimmy Shand's original compositions played in tribute by former band member Jim Johnstone with his band.
