Heritage, from the Kingdom of Fife, are a seven-piece band who play on a wide variety of instruments - guitar, fiddle, banjo, tambourine, autoharp, mandolin, synthesiser, whistles, flute, musette, Jew's harp, Scottish smallpipes, hammered dulcimer and bombarde. The sound of the band is rooted in Scotland's rich musical tradition but never ceases to carry an air of invigorating freshness. It all adds up to heritage with a capital H.
"An album that succeeds in its lack of pretence as much as it does with its dexterity and forthright delivery." (JOHN O' REGAN)
"There is a real honesty in the playing, and the arrangements are tight and precise without ever creating any musical excess." (NORTHERN STAR)
"And it's turned out to be a strong candidate for my 'Album of the Year'." (FOLK BUZZ)
