The official audio CD of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, featuring over one thousand performers from Scotland and overseas. The 60th Tattoo pays tribute to the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns and marks Scotland's first Year Of Homecoming. Featuring all of the music from the Tattoo, recorded live on the Castle Esplanade.

Performers include The Massed Bands Of The RAF, The Top Secret Drum Corps (from Basel, Switzerland), The Central Band Of The Swiss Army, The Tongan Royal Corps of Musicians and The Calgary Burns Club Singers (from Canada).

Also featuring The Royal Dragoon Guards, The Royal Tank Regiment, The Royal Highland Fusiliers (2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland), The Highlanders (4th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland), The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland), The Australia Federal Police, The Auckland Police and The Cape Town Highlanders.

The Massed Pipes & Drums and Massed Military Bands join together in the finale for a dramatic and emotional performance of Amazing Grace.

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo was conceived in its present form and first performed in 1950. Today, with its unique blend of music, ceremony, entertainment and theatre, set against the amazing backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, it is without question one of the world's greatest shows.
