Third solo CD from the Wolfstone fiddle player Duncan Chisholm, who has also recorded with singer Ivan Drever.
This beautiful album shows off Duncan's superb technique to great effect - the tone he coaxes from his fiddle is sublime.
With guests Phil Cunningham (piano, cittern, whistle, accordion), Kris Drever (guitar, vocals), Martin O'Neill (percussion), Tearlach MacFarlane (vocals) and Ross Hamilton (guitar, bass).
Traditional tunes sit alongside those by contemporary composers including Duncan himself, Fred Morrison, Michael McGoldrick, Gordon Duncan, Angus R Grant, Stephen Saint, Ross Martin and Charlie McKerron.
"Duncan's musicianship is miraculous, outstandingly stylish and eloquent, and this is a significantly classy record which I can't praise highly enough..." (David Kidman)
"If you want to talk about classical influences in traditional music... Look no further than this wonderful third solo album by Duncan Chisholm. Like its predecessors, it is some way removed from his work with Wolfstone, but you have to chill out sometimes..." (Rock 'n' Reel)
