A double CD representing Scottish oral tradition, with all the elements of song, stories, beliefs, superstitions, anecdotes and experience.

Christina wanted this work to convey the interaction of songs and stories and the best way to do this was a double CD.

The first has vocals with instruments, the second, spoken word. Each track on CD1 is a song, with a corresponding spoken track, connected with the themes in the songs, on CD2.

Christina is a performer, recording artist and tutor. She studied Traditional Song as part of her degree at The School Of Scottish Studies and Edinburgh |University, which left her with an abiding sense of song as an integral part of our rich and varied traditional culture.

She has taken part in many Festivals, including The Black Isle Words Festival, Glasgow's Celtic Connections, The Merry Dancers Tales At Martinmas, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and Feis An Eilean (The Skye Festival).

Christina Stewart (vocals, stories), Christine McClenaghan (vocals), Alpin Stewart (vocals), Andrew MacIntosh (folktales), Iain M Campbell (personal responses) Grace Stewart-Skinner (laughter), Martin MacDonald (guitar), Jo Baird (cello), Christine McClenaghan and Grace Stewart-Skinner (percussion).

"...raises the bar on the traditional interface between story and song ... there's an absolute wealth of myth and legend within, delivered in Gaelic, Scots and English." Dan Holland, Folkwords.
