Alastair's long-awaited fourth album and his first completely unaccompanied fiddle recording.
This Scottish fiddle journey was recorded in the historic surroundings of Crathie Kirk in Royal Deeside.
Featuring melodies by the great 19th century virtuoso James Scott Skinner, dancing master to Queen Victoria at nearby Balmoral Castle and 18th century legend Niel Gow alongside is sons Nathaniel and Andrew.
Alasdair presents his own unique compositions dedicated to the Gow family and his fellow Ayrshire man Rabbie Burns.
The sound of the solo fiddle in the church acoustic is expertly captured by Colin Stephen who engineered and co-produced the album alongside Alastair Savage.
