"The lead song on this album was performed at the last public performance we did before the first lockdown, on Monday 9th March 2020. Fittingly, it was the 9th National Showcase of Excellence, the latest in our series of collaborations with our colleagues in other Scottish Centres of Excellence in Music. It was an entirely uplifting experience and gave us all something to remember as live performance disappeared from our lives. As I write this, on May 2021, we have not performed live since then, and there is no immediate prospect of it. But we are already working on CD 21, and whatever it may look and sound like in the future, this music is not going away." Dougie Pincock, Director, Sgoil Chiuil Na Gaidhealtachd, May 2021.
